Not (but very) important

I'm guessing it's not news and people probably don't care, but to me this is important.

Rene Higuita, world famous goalkeeper who made this legendary save in a match..

..and who has also been a classic style icon for the last twenty years..

..has done something crazy. Some might say that he was already crazy because of some of this stuff..

..this man has obviously joined an extreme make-over show somewhere in South America and this is the result..

..some people might call it improvement. I say it's a tragedy!

And SONY Bravia continues to impress

SONY Bravia have done some very cool commercials the last years (with the bouncing balls and the paint explosions) and now they're out with some new ones advertising Sky High Definition movies.

The obvious advantage of the High Definition TVs and movies is obviously that the picture quality is so good, but how do you meet that when most people will be watching the commercials on older not-HD screens?

Here they have tried to make their point by connecting extreme close-ups of micro elements to the central action of the 'movie'.

Some times micro looks very macro.

Hey egocentric beer-lover!

I know I've posted a lot the last twenty four hours, but some times you're just on a roll.

I just came across a new initiative from Tuborg which is pretty cool. For a little less than 300 Danish kroner you can get 30 bottles of beer specially designed for you! It takes about four weeks to get them delivered on your door, but I would say it's worth it if you're throwing a special party or get a visit from another part of the world. Check it out at dintuborg.dk.

Where's George

In San Fransisco I came across a cool thing. It was a ten dollar bill with some stamps on it. The deal is that some people started to put an internet address and a short explanation on dollar bills and then used them to pay for some stuff. Then after a while people started to get the point. They went to the net address and register the note with the code and then they could see how the note traveled around the world.

Feel free to try it. Go to this site and register it with this code DJ44467906A. It's pretty cool. If you register it and write where you got it and how you used it we could make it's travel very interesting!

Bill Gates and Napoleon Dynamite

That's what I call a dynamic duo! The sound is a bit crap because it's been recorded at a Microsoft seminar but it's totally worth it any way.

If you like beatboxin'

you might like this.. It's a guy making sort of a cooking show. And he's got some pretty fresh beats..

and thanks to my Hungarian, pantomime friend Arpin for introducing it to me.

Shared nuggets on the right

Just a small tip. When there is something I think is really cool, but I don't have time to blogg it, I'll share it through the green box on the right. Under jojuice favourite flavours.

If you don't like gay people..

Tim Hardaway is a very well known, American basketball player. Not too long ago he uttered some pretty stupid and cruel words about gay people.

And yes, there has been (or is it have been?) reactions. I especially like this one.

Orson Welles anno 2007 is NiN

The 17th of April, Nine Inch Nails are releasing their new album Year Zero. In relation to this they have launched (in a not very launchy way) a quite different and 'Orson Wellesian' marketing campaign. You can read a more thorough piece about it at mtv.com, but in short it's a series of websites that portray a very dystopian future for the US and the world. The article is pretty cool, but if you only want to check out the sites and don't care for the story - you can visit them here: iamtryingtobelieve.com and anotherversionofthetruth.com.

A brighter and more fun commercial and behind-the-scenes footage here. Orange made this pretty cool commercial where people appear and disappear out of thin air. It can seem pretty high-tech, but when you watch this behind-the-scenes-video, you see it's actually geniously simple and probably a lot of fun to make.

A cool way to say goodbye

Christof is the creative director of the company we're working for during our exam project, but today is Christofs last day at work. He's leaving for another company tomorrow. Some of the people here came up with a cool and of course viral way to wish him good luck in his new job.

The video is available in Arabic, German, Serbian and French as well. Feel free to send him a text message and make his last day even better!

The truth in Advertising

Why can't people just say what they mean? It might have turned out something like this.

Pretty funny.

A truck load of photos

Our apartment by night from the bridge.
There's a Greek restaurant at the ground floor, and we've got a nice little bench just outside our door where we can enjoy an orange or a glass of wine - like here
What a beautiful view! Singel is the name of our canal. Just beautiful.
We found an apartment! Rolf Arne is enjoying the furniture.
Rolf Arne is amused of a street artist with a well-trained dog
Setting up a time scheduele, forming it like a church (because we work in one)
Street life somewhere close to Fredriksplein
Tram times. Smooth public transport!
Celebrating Elisa, Annas room mates birthday and Driloln fra Macedonia introduced us to the up-beat, Turkish version of 'Happy Birthday' - 'Happy-de-Birthday to you-o-u'
Dining at the fantastic Bazar. Great middle eastern coocking and thirty meters to the roof

A roof over our heads

Yesterday Rolf-Arne and I finally found a place to stay. I've got some better pictures, but for now we're only hooked up to the net from Rolfies computer. Well, we've got a fantastic view over the canal and enough space. The only negative thing is that there's a peculiar smell of cabbage in the starewell. Hm.

Right now - relaxing in our new living room
Stay tuned for some more pictures of le crib

From where I sit

This is my view from where I sit. If you were to put the one in bottom at the far left and the one on top to the far left (and the one in the middle, well, in the middle). I think you will get a rather good fell of what its like - life in the church.

And finally I just need to link to a Wikipedia article about the old and the new dansih grading system. The old 13-scale was a bit complicated, so they came up with a new one that should be easier to understand. It starts at -2 and ends at 12.. Go figure.. Check it out here!

Finally in Amsterdam

So, a few pictures on how we are doing in Amsterdam. Busy, that is why it is not more extensive. And I haven not found the apostrophy-button yet, so that is why this might be a bit strange and formal to read.

Rolf Arne is enjoying our new workplace. There is free chips, drinks, lunch, wine and beer - I like!

Sleeping bag and piles of clothes. This where I lay.

Staying at Annas place. Marit and Arpi together with her in the couch.

Where shall we go for our honeymoon?

Last Sunday, Torhild and I decided that before the day was over, we should have decided on where to go for our honeymoon. We didn't want it to be some ordinary selection process - we wanted it to be random. So watch the film and see if we're going to The Solomon Islands, Guinea Bissau, Japan or perhaps Uganda..

A short film about the KP

A few weeks ago some students from the Danish journalist school, visited Mejlgade 35 and the Kaospilots. They made this little piece about it. And yes, I'm the very inspired guy in a purple/white cap and blue cardigan attending one of the lectures.

Super Bowl means commercials

Last night the Colts beat the Bears and won the Super Bowl. While all of this was going on, big brands filled half times and time-outs with new and anticipated commercials. There are lots of clever and funny ones, and you can check them out here.

Ladies and gentlemen - Lasse Gjertsen!

Last, late night I saw something of the coolest I've seen all year. It's very simple. Not flashy at all, but so very very catchy! It's Lasse Gjertsen and his musical short Hyperactive.

And the great thing is that Lasse ain't no one-hit-wonder. Heres Mister Gjertsens Amateur.

Lasse is 22 and from the small Norwegian coastal town, Larvik.

Well. Thank you Lasse. My next posting will be quite extraordinary. Torhild and I have created a very special process to decide where we'll be going for our honeymoon. We don't know yet where we'll be going, but a pantyhose and Torhild's butt cheeks will play an important role..

Microwaves, heavy heads, hands and robots

What happens when you microwave eggs, deodorant or Christmas lights? If you're curious, The Micromaniacs can show you the answers.

And then some good commercials.

National Geographics.

VolksWagon.

And in case you haven't checked out Hondas new robot Asimo yet..

To really check out what this robot is capable of, check out this presentation.

Delicious breakfast and a cool commercial

Ahh.. this is the way to start the day. After having slept as long as we wanted to, Torhild and I decided to treat ourselves with a nice breakfast. When Emmery's was full we walked over to Under Engle which is a really nice ecological place.

Torhild had a sandwich with avocado, brie, olive paste, salad and tapas. I had a delicious soup with cream, white wine, some goat cheese'ish thing and lots of different spices. I had some hot toddy and a whiskey. Just beautiful.

I also bought a new notebook and started scribbling in it right away. I love Ordning och reda.

When the last spoon of soup was gone, Torhild wanted to find the perfect Brownie. We didn't really find the perfect one, but we found a couple of good ones.

And then the cool commercial. It's a Quicksilver commercial by Saatchi in Copenhagen. Dynamite surfing in the Danish capital.

03.02.07 - New and old notebook

The TED phenomenom

These days it seems as if everyone is suddenly talking about The TED Conference and TEDTalks. I've certainly had a lot of pleasure watching the inspirational lectures, but if you haven't seen the light yet, this CBS story might give you an insight and get you hooked.

And if you just want fun. Comedy Central bringing you the fabulous Colbert Report amongst other shows, has a fantastic site called Motherload where you can see tons of great comedy.

..and then some Indian

After school and champagne, Jon came around to pick up all our boxes. Amazingly we managed to fit ten boxes and different smaller objects into his car which is a load off our backs. When this was done Rolf Arne came around to work a bit on our contract with Clockwork before we met up with a bunch at an Indian place just down the street.

After some Cobra beers and several courses we headed over to Engelen where Daniel from Team 13 was introducing his newly composed cocktails. Nice. Herbal Verde was crowned as the perfect basil drink.

Last 'real' day at school

02.02.07 - Visualisation of principles for the final project

We had our last day together as a team before getting our final projects going. After that we will only have a couple of days together, evaluating and saying goodbye. It feels rather strange that these three years soon will be over.

02.02.07 - Champagne, music and good byes!

Feeling better and packing to move

Still quite sore and unwell, but getting better. Jon has been so kind to bring some of our stuff up to Oslo where it will be kept in my loving parents basement. Since Jon is leaving tomorrow night and we've got school tomorrow, we had no choice but to fill ten cardboard boxes tonight.

01.02.07 - Torhild helps by packing a shot glass
