iPhone + RFID

My buddy Jorg tipped me about this. Very cool and also a potentially very irritating marketing tool.

Art by burger

How to make use of burgers if you're vegetarian.

It's actually advertising for a competing burger-brand, which is a bit disappointing, but still - good idea and nicely executed.

If this made you hungry, this place promises to have the best burger recipes.

Kobe jumps over a speeding car (Aston Martin)

Kobe has done two Nike-commercials. They're fake, but this one is pretty convincing visually.

Here are two amateur versions.

Have you thought about joining the..

Anyone speak Ukrainian? This seems very persuasive, but I feel I could get even more out of it.

'Fresh' collection from Nike

I love the style of Nike's new vintage collection. You can check out quite a bit of it here, and for the rest go to nikevintage.com.

A few good creative men

It's not super-new, but it's super-good. Classic dubbing job.

"I-sajd-hip-hop-and-you-don't-stop - be-atch"

Volvo just launched their new Volvo C30. Togeter with it they launched this site, where you can play some games and hear what comments people had about the car when they were spontaneously introduced to it.

My favorite game or function is the one where you can write a text and then a giant mouth in the trunk of the car reads it out loud in for example Swedish, Japanese, German, English, Spanish or Greek. Great way to have a conversation if you're not allowed to talk.

And to say a few words about what's going on with me, I'm sick. Hard cold or flu. I can't really decide. The timing is not very good since we're hosting a couple of workshops this week. Yesterday we celebrated that one of the teams at our company won the contract to develop a daring and new site for a Dutch newspaper addressing mainly people between 25 and 35. Champagne tastes nice even when your nose is stuffed.

And SONY Bravia continues to impress

SONY Bravia have done some very cool commercials the last years (with the bouncing balls and the paint explosions) and now they're out with some new ones advertising Sky High Definition movies.

The obvious advantage of the High Definition TVs and movies is obviously that the picture quality is so good, but how do you meet that when most people will be watching the commercials on older not-HD screens?

Here they have tried to make their point by connecting extreme close-ups of micro elements to the central action of the 'movie'.

Some times micro looks very macro.

Hey egocentric beer-lover!

I know I've posted a lot the last twenty four hours, but some times you're just on a roll.

I just came across a new initiative from Tuborg which is pretty cool. For a little less than 300 Danish kroner you can get 30 bottles of beer specially designed for you! It takes about four weeks to get them delivered on your door, but I would say it's worth it if you're throwing a special party or get a visit from another part of the world. Check it out at dintuborg.dk.

Orson Welles anno 2007 is NiN

The 17th of April, Nine Inch Nails are releasing their new album Year Zero. In relation to this they have launched (in a not very launchy way) a quite different and 'Orson Wellesian' marketing campaign. You can read a more thorough piece about it at mtv.com, but in short it's a series of websites that portray a very dystopian future for the US and the world. The article is pretty cool, but if you only want to check out the sites and don't care for the story - you can visit them here: iamtryingtobelieve.com and anotherversionofthetruth.com.

A brighter and more fun commercial and behind-the-scenes footage here. Orange made this pretty cool commercial where people appear and disappear out of thin air. It can seem pretty high-tech, but when you watch this behind-the-scenes-video, you see it's actually geniously simple and probably a lot of fun to make.

The truth in Advertising

Why can't people just say what they mean? It might have turned out something like this.

Pretty funny.

Super Bowl means commercials

Last night the Colts beat the Bears and won the Super Bowl. While all of this was going on, big brands filled half times and time-outs with new and anticipated commercials. There are lots of clever and funny ones, and you can check them out here.
